4 Tips for a successful email marketing campaign

1. Don’t just push your products

The last thing your customers want are your products pushed down their throat. Don’t just push for sales, offer them value by means of sharing useful information. Work on 80% useful information, 20% sales.

2. Respect people’s time

Keep your newsletter short and sweet. Don’t create 500 word sections in your newsletter when 100 words will do. If you have much more to say have click-throughs to more information on your website.

3. Break your newsletter up into sections and keep it consistent each month

Create 4 or 5 sections each month. For example, two blocks of industry news, one block about a product, not yours, that you found useful and another block for your product or service you are focusing on for the month.

4. Just one call to action button

If you have more than one option the customer needs to click they may suffer from decision fatigue and may lead them to cancel their journey. Offer one call to action, like, “Click here to see our full range”.
